I had an AWFUL experience with this company and if I ever need home health I will never use them! I was discharged from the hospital on 1/19 and the first nurse was scheduled to come to me at 10a on 1/20 to administer my antibiotic infusion and teach me how to do it myself. I was told things would be taken care of and this company would call me to confirm. I had to call them twice to confirm since I had not heard from them. Spoke to a rude case manager named Tina who said "don't worry a nurse will come Sunday". Sure enough come Sunday close to 10:30 a nurse never showed up. Had to call these people twice and finally close to 12p I get a call from a nurse Bonnie who said no one told her or anyone to come to my house. When Bonnie arrived she went on this rant about a Dustin allegedly not telling Tina a time to show up, the infusion company not calling them, and how they filed a complaint. Lol the infusion company faxed over the orders that had the date and time a nurse is supposed to come. So that was a lie. They hadn't even scheduled a nurse to come to me but lying Tina told me different the day before. So finally Bonnie shows up close to 1p long after I'm supposed to have my infusion. I ended up calling Rebecca H in Birmingham and told her about the situation and wanted to make sure another nurse was coming Sunday. The Sunday nurse clearly wasn't scheduled to see me either and was basically in a rush the whole visit and rushed off. The next and last nurse that came was awful dramatic Dianne Ressler. Everything was fine until the last day when she had to come pull my picc line. This awful woman got mad because I recorded the picc line being removed. Mind you I didn't record the nurse or take a pic of the nurse only MY ARM as I filmed myself that morning administering my infusion. So this woman proceeds to call her supervisor and tell her and whomever she spoke to told me to delete the video. I told them no and they said I needed the nurse's permission to snap a pic of my arm and record work being done on my arm. I laughed and said no I don't especially when I'm in MY home. I said I only need her consent if I'm recording her face. So the supervisor said their lawyer would contact me and I laughed and said I don't care have them contact me. I had to tell the nurse twice to leave my home because she refused and only left when her manager told her to lol. They didn't even fax over the orders my doctor's office faxed to them so I could have a urinalysis. Dianne specifically told me before she left her supervisor would fax them to labcorp as I told them to. Went to labcorp today only to find out they didn't. I called today and spoke to some "executive director" and she blamed the infusion company. The same way they blamed the infusion company because they couldn't take responsibility for not scheduling a nurse to come to me. Neither Bonnie nor Dianne ever ordered the supplies they were supposed to and claimed they were going to. I had to do it once I realized the supplies never showed up. They are rude, unprofessional, and incompetent.

My husband's grandfather is dying from CHF and dementia. This is the company his COP decided to recommend for hospice care. They did not go over any lifting, rolling, kinesiological movements to prevent the patient or caregiver injuries. They also didn't reach anyone anything about the proper way for someone to remove a pair of dirty gloves without touching the outside of the gloves. Luckily I worked as a CNA/PCT twenty years ago and was able to show everyone else proper lifting and moving techniques. We have never honestly been taught much of anything at all. EVWRYTHING HAS BEEN A FIGURE IT OUT AS YOU ARE IN THE MOMENT SITUATION. The bath ladies who come 3x's per week are wonderful but in the past 2.5 years we have had a complete nursing staff change probably once every 3 months. They started out coming 2x's per week and have decreased the visits to once per week even though his health is and had been declining exponentially. Overall, I don't know if I would recommend them honestly. I guess, if you have a medical background already then you probably won't have a huge problem but if you are someone who does not and are about experience someone who needs semi skilled nursing care then you might want to check around with other agencies in the area....
