Home Instead has been taking care of my dad for four months. Their staff is very professional, kind, and has always been on time. One thing that I would like to point out is that the care givers are always going over and beyond. I came home to visit my dad after work on several occasion and found that the care giver was reading to my dad and even brought him a copy of his favorite news paper. I would highly recommend Home Instead San Francisco and their outstanding staff. A.B

Working with Home Instead was a very smooth and helpful experience. From the initial consultation on the phone, to easy scheduling, to coming to a better understanding of the senior needing care in my life, the professionals at Home Instead showed attention to detail and compassion, while providing advice that helped clarify the situation overall. I would recommend them without reservation.

I was a caregiver for HomeInstead San Francisco. The interview process was straight forward and easy. They required a few documents as a home health aide, such as a state registration. This is to ensure you are a safe caregiver to all patients/ clients they pair you with. They also need fingerprinting livescan, drug test, and a short maybe 30 questions test about general healthcare knowledge. It was easy to pass. You'll need two references. After those, you'll move on to being hired. The following week, there is a paid orientation for a few hours. Its awesome because you'll meet all the office staff including the owner Frank. Everyone is very helpful. Be honest as to what you need and they will match you with a client. They will give you a few clients to make sure you are reliable and the options of how many hours you want to work will be accommodated. This is the best caregiving company I have worked for. The scheduler Ryan Santiago is the best resource. He is the Senior Staffing Manager. He is so helpful and you'll want to pick up many hours when he needs you. It is hard to say no to him. They will give you a good schedule to be an effective, alert, and safe care giver. Be honest and the staff are absolutely understanding. George Beckstead has also been with the company for a long time, and a great coach in introducing you to many of their clients. Both of them really want to see caregivers succeed in being the safest and effective reliable caregiver/ home health aid so clients to want to keep you and families are happy with your service. After hours, Ken Solon a nurse, is always reachable. They go above and beyond you not just for their clients but also their caregivers. As an example, I didn't have a car then and sometimes it was a sudden need for them to schedule me, I would accept and they paid for an uber for me to get to the client. Be open, honest in accepting of the clients they give you. Soon they will have a few that are your regular clients. They will also match you with reliable caregivers to work with. They have so many clients that trust them and many caregivers that stay with them for many years. I am now an RN and still view this place as an awesome place to work for. You really want apply yourself to be the best care giver because you know you are supported. Whats best for their client is a reliable and safe caregiver. Be honest when you need time off, paid or unpaid. They will accommodate to help you be an effective caregiver but more importantly to ensure the needs of clients are met.
