I have always had positive experiences with this hospital until today. I showed up before my appointment time with radiology. The registration process was so slow, it caused me to miss my appointment. They told me I could wait 4 hours and maybe get me in, OR I could reschedule. I won't be doing either. Canon City has grown and this hospital is not able to keep up with patient loads. If they cannot get a patient registered until 15 minutes past their appointment times, then they should probably hire more people.

Today my son came to the ER. The staff were proactive and despite the symptoms being mild ran tests. It turned out he was very sick and was given immediate treatment. He was transferred to St Mary Corwin safely. His Doctor's Office had wanted to send him home to "wait and see" . Glad I went from the doctor's office to the ER. We were able to catch his illness in the very early stage so he has a good chance at a quick recovery.

I have a family member with a chronic painful condition, and unfortunately, we have been to more hospitals than I care to say, but, this one is one of the best!!! The staff is always friendly and compassionate to our needs. I am able to stay in the room as well. The kitchen is small but the food is quite good, and its best to use room service- it can be tricky sometimes catching the cafeteria open when I get a chance to get away. This is a small facility, very well kept and staffed. I feel very fortunate to have such a place to take my loved one when help is needed. Thank you everyone at STM!!!

By far the WORST hospital I've been to. I've had to walk out 3 different times 1st 2 times I was so sick I couldn't even stand and waited each time for over an hour for someone and never seen anyone. This last time I was with my sister who hurt her hip. Not once was she offered a wheelchair and the nurse man up front was just plain rude. I don't recommend this place to anyone. If I could give it a lower star rating I would

We just had a visit to St. Thomas More on 8/13/2017 for my husband to get his arm glued after getting a deep laceration to his arm. We have avoided St. Thomas More in the passed and was nervous about this trip...BUT we were pleasantly surprised when we not only got taken back right away and saw the Dr and Nurse right away but they were great with our 2 young children by giving them popsicles, juice and kneeling down to talk with them multiple times while waiting for dad to finish up! We will be going back again when needed in our future! Such a difference from the last few years!
