I was very happy with my service up until my discharge. I was told by the doctor that I would be asked to walk around to make sure I was okay, and that I would be asked about my pain and given proper medication for it. I was also told I'd be given discharge instructions, and that detailed instructions would also be given to the person picking me up. However, waking up from surgery, the nurse I had was deaf and couldn't hear me when I told her I was in a lot of pain, and it was very hard to move. I was barely able to get up, and I went to the restroom because I had to urinate very badly, the experience was very painful. I attempted to tell the nurse, again she couldn't hear me, and only cared about getting me discharged as soon as possible. I had to ask her to make sure I could walk, which she helped me walk once around the front desk once, in which I tried to inform her again that it was very hard to do, and it hurt a great deal. She did not care, told me it was normal, and asked me to leave. I attempted to bend over and put socks on as she talked with a nurse about life stories. As well, she did not tell us how to care for my wounds, what signs to watch for infection, and was generally disinterested in anything I had to say. When a nurse called to ask how the service was the next day, she was annoyed that I told her what had happened. She said the instructions should be on my discharge sheet, which they were not, and ignored the nurses belligerent disregard for my physical state. I told her we were not given these instructions, she did not respond and instead asked if there was anything else they could have done better, and hung up. I do not enjoy waking up from surgery and then having nurses make me feel like a nuisance when asking for help, which they did time and time again, which shocked as the care up to that point had been excellent.

We had our first baby in October of 2018 and could not say enough about how phenomenal and supportive the Birth Place is. The classes they gave us before hand, the support during birth, and after were incredible. They sent us home with a pan of lasagna, and followed up with us after we had been home for a few days. Every nurse felt like family. I get teary-eyed when I think about it now. I highly recommend them. Oh- and my anesthesiologist was wonderful too! He came back on his day off to check in on us. As far as nurses, Nurse Kim went above and beyond to make sure we were cared for and had all worries and concerns addressed before we were sent home alone with our little one. My mom is a pediatric nurse in Chicago and even she said Nurse Kim is incredible.

Beware!!! If you go to this hospital you will need your entire bill to be paid in full in 30 days! Your credit will be ruined. Outrageous amounts charged for services rendered. If you set up a payment plan it will go to a company called PROFESSIONAL FINANCE COMPANY in Greeley Colorado and it WONT be a interest free payment plan, so you will NEVER get the bill paid off. They won't send you a bill until you REQUEST one.... wonder why this is? When you do find out about that your bill is NOT reducing and call PFC they won't negotiate or reduce the bill or remove the interest charges, So just keep making those payments on time and the interest will be more than what your monthly payment is. BAD BUSINESS, shame on you!

My grandmother was admitted into the ICU on many occasions before she passed away there 2 weeks ago. The ICU nurses, Aimee, Cassandra, Zack, Mike, & Melissa, gave their absolute best care to her to make sure that she was comfortable and taken care of. I appreciate their kindness to my family in a really dark time.

Our family has had two babies at LUH. The labor and delivery team kick butt and are so helpful. I could call every RN, Dr and support staff we saw a saint. The food was great. The new rooms are big. Wonderful place to have babies.
