I can't say enough about how much our family loves the Stratford Visiting Nurse Assoc. My parents have been under their care on and off many times in the past 7 years. Everyone from the office staff to the nurses, aides and physical therapists have been, professional, kind, caring and patient with both Mom and Dad. They have gone above and beyond even coming for an emergency visit on Christmas day a few years ago. I have peace of mind knowing they are taking good care of them. I recommend them to any and everyone I know who is in need of home care.

Had a ruptured appendix was in the hospital with a massive infection. When I was discharged Stratford VNA came every day to pack my wound and change the dressings then every few days to follow up. had nothing but professional and friendly nurses. I would highly recommend this organization..

I received excellent, compassionate, and professional care from every member of the Stratford VNA staff who cared for me during my recovery at home including the RNs, Physical Therapist, and Home Health Aide.I would and I have recommended this agency without hesitation to friends and family who have been in need of Home Care.

Excellent care from Stratford VNA. This is based on family member under their care over period of several years. This agency consistently delivers prompt communication to family members what to expect, when their staff will be at the home, ( who arrive in a timely manner) and most importantly the prompt reporting of health status of the patient to the family MD, and the family members to deliver the best care to their patients. The best care for the patient ,and peace of mind for the family. Here is just one example....Having Stratford VNA prevented a "slight cold" from becoming a full blown, double pneumonia issue ,due to their consistent pattern of rapid response when our family was under their care. Due to new/worse symptoms observed by family in the patient , late in the day...(low energy, change in breathing) we called VNA. We were so relieved that within 1/2 hour of calling the agency a nurse was at the house. The nurse called the agency from the house. The family MD was notified. Antibiotic Rx was called into the pharmacy. Prompt attention and care prevented further , life threatening complications...and No ambulance, no ER visit for hours, NOT admitted at hospital! This is what health care is all about !! Many other examples of excellent, life saving care over the years. Thank you to all the nurses, therapists, office and support staff at Stratford VNA for all you do.

This is the first review I've ever written but I felt compelled to upon reflecting on the recent passing of my mother. Our association with Stratford Visiting Nurses dates back over to 12 years ago when my mother in law came to live with my wife and myself. She suffered with many medical conditions but with the help of the VNA of Stratford she was able to live fairly comfortably with us until she passed peacefully nearly 5 years ago. Then less than a year later my parents, both in their late 80s and with some major medical conditions. came to live with us. It was only possible for us to take on these responsibilities because of the care and support provided to us by the Stfd. VNA. From the very beginning they helped us work through issues with the health insurance companies and explained all the social services/activities available to us. A short time after moving in with us my mother needed a heart valve replacement followed by having a pace maker implanted. The VNA assigned a cardiology nurse who came on a regular basis to do follow up examinations and installed a 24/7 monitoring system that recorded her pace maker and all her vital signs. There were numerous times they were able to detect changes in her condition and treat her quickly that prevented her respertory problems and the couple of bouts of pneumonia from becoming life threatening situations. The VNA also provided both my parents with physical thyropists and wound care. All of their personnel, from the nurses, thyropists and counselors have always been professional, pleasent, prompt , patient and well liked by both. My father is now 93 and a half and recovering from three recent surgeries for skin cancer and will hopefully be with us for many years to come. And for as long as he is us so will the Stratford VNA. We live in my childhood home and my mother had told me many times how happy she was to come back home. Because of the care we've come to depend on, all three of the great grand parents got the chance to share in the accomplishments of all 5 great grand children, ranging from kindergarden to high school, in school and sports I'm very thankful to be able to help our parents live out their final years with dignity , surrounded by family. We wouldn't have be able to do this without the Stfd VNA. Thank you so much. Chuck C.
