Good Nurses always on time and make sure all my medications are ready for me to take and tell me how to stay healthy

  • anna garcia-john ★★★★★ a year ago

They are very disorganized constantly changing the nurse assigned, not just the excuse of nurse being on vacation. We constantly had to correct their medication Pre pour mistakes also because they weren't always willing to come out to correct their own mistakes. There was only one nurse that was reliable, but this past month for two weeks they said she was on vacation and then I was finally told that the nurse wanted work closer to her house so she wasn't coming back. Then they said she went to work for another agency. The last nurse, Maria (LPN) was rude to my mother and left mom's diabetes pills out the box. The home attendant called her the next day and she refused to go at first then she did go but never reported to the agency that she had been there twice. The doctors sometimes don't update the formulary and instead of correcting that issue these nurses will cut corners and when mistakes happen they try to point fingers elsewhere as was also the case when they admitted that during prepours of medication they wouldn't empty the automatic machine to start fresh (cutting corners to save time) which could lead to double doses or missed doses of medication if the doctor had made any changes to a specific medicine. The last issue I reported was that and that they were filling the machine backwards because they didn't take into account that the machine moves clockwise. In the beginning I had taught the RN how to operate and program the machine. This is an issue that would not exist had they started with an empty box at every prepour as it should be. This last time Because I brought all these issues up and told them I document everything and have proof and that I had reported another agency in the past that was later investigated and found to have many violations, my mom was dropped as a client. But they didn't have the common courtesy to inform us. Instead they left my mom waiting in pain for 5 days because their last nurse put mom's pain pill in the wrong dosage space in the machine Wednesday, they came back Tuesday of the next week to fix it even if it was reported on Saturday to the social worker agency because when we tried callin THERE FOR YOU, their phone was not in working order. Still I speak to them on Monday and they refused to go out til the next day. Had their last and rude nurse not taken the key with her on wednesdat, I could've corrected their mistake like I always had before but because they sent uninformed and vigilante nurse Maria, she took the keys with her. Now I realize it was possibly an attempt of her hiding her mistakes, I guess someone forgot to tell her that she's dealing with an informed client that The others came to respect. You can't win with these people. Don't waste your time. Even speaking to Jane the manager leads you to believe you are being listened to and instead they're busy drafting the letter that dropped mom as a client. You can thank Maria, for this review. That's the nurse they sent that made a bad situation even worse. We were already nice enough to deal with the errors but the new nurse maria tried a new twist, lying to cover her behind. That we can't and don't tolerate.
