About Comfort Keepers

Comfort Keepers provides a full range of services, and we tailor care plans to each clientâ??s specific needs. Our goal is to promote independent living to its fullest extent by providing interactive caregiving.

Examples of our services include:

â?¢ In-home Companionship and Care Services - Conversation and companionship, meal preparation, laundry, light housekeeping, grocery shopping/errands, incidental transportation, medication reminders, grooming guidance, 24-hour care, respite care or relief for family
â?¢ Personal Care Services - Bathing, grooming and hygiene, mobility assistance, transferring and positioning, toileting and incontinence care
â?¢ Specialized Care Services - Dementia care and end-of-life care

At Comfort Keepers we take pride in the exceptional services we provide to our clients. Our Comfort Keepers are professional and well trained. We have a thorough screening and interviewing process to identify them as having a true heart for caregiving. Only those who pass this rigorous process go on to complete training to deliver our special brand of home careâ?¦and become a Comfort Keeper.

To protect our clients, their families and the facilities in which we work, our Comfort Keepers are required to wear name badges and uniforms (unless otherwise requested). Comfort Keepers are bonded, insured and covered by Workersâ?? Compensation insurance â?¦and because they are Comfort Keepers employees, we take care of their payroll taxes. Even after our Comfort Keepers are initially hired, having adhered to a nation-wide Level II fingerprinting background check, driving record check and mandatory drug testing, we continue to monitor them in these areas throughout their employment.

We like to perform a free home visit before signing a client up for services. The purpose of this visit is to develop a plan of care so that our caregivers know exactly what to do when they get to the clientâ??s home. In addition, we obtain background information on our clients because in order to achieve the most favorable outcome for each Comfort Keepers client, we take our time to carefully match Comfort Keepers and clients whose personalities and interest---as well as skills and needs--mesh well. This forms the basis of strong, healthful relationships.

Comfort Keepers provided excellent care for my father. They were very responsive and our caregiver, Cheryl and nurse Patty were fantastic.

I had the extreme pleasure of working with CNA > Michelle Hall Cournoyer. She arrived in our clinic today with 2 patients that had special needs and were in desperate need of emotional and medical care. This CNA went over and beyond to accommodate and foresee all the patient needs, going the extra mile past her standard duties of care. I want to give a heartfelt THANKS to your facility to employing such exceptional staff.

The girls do their best and it has not been easy. The one negative I would give would be the level of communication. There is a real need for more communication between the workers and the administration. Also, the workers should have a way or system of interfacing with each other if they share the same clients. Lastly as the daughter of a client, I would greatly appreciate more direct reports from the workers. The Family Room Care Logs do not give specific details of how the time was spent. Check marks are not adequate. I would appreciate receiving reports from the workers as to not only what they did but also how they perceive the situation. Are they getting to know the client? What are the pluses and minuses?

My daughter is happy with her caregivers. They are interactive with her. The agency staff is friendly and nice. As her parent I am content with the service. The only draw back for me is that I am obligated to do 4 hours there is no compromise for less time. M Lewis

Thank goodness for Comfort Keepers!!!! Everyone that I have spoken with has been wonderful and so very helpful. They responded to my call very quickly and came up with a schedule that suited my parents needs. All the Comfort Keepers personnel that has come to help my parent's house have been very personable and helpful. They have treated my parents with respect and dignity. Thank you so much Comfort Keepers for being there for my parents and myself.
