I have been using this co for almost a year & in that year my son has been left without coverage more times than our last co did in 7 years!! That is completely unacceptable, but American Nurses doesn't seem to care because they do nothing to rectify the situation. Its always the same thing over & over. I've lost all faith in them, I know if one of my sons nurses calls out they will not be able to replace her.....its like they don't even try!! The office has a revolving door of employees, its so rare to get the same person, this has been going on for months. There's no one to talk to or to complain to in order to get anything resolved, no one seems to care! It blows my mind that they've been in business for so long, I honestly have no idea how!! My last straw was today, the night nurse called them this morning to let them know she is sick & can't work tonight....she called this morning so they'd have all day to work on finding coverage, however when I finally got a hold of them (after 3pm) they said they had been busy all day with other things & had just sat down to try & find me coverage.....WHAT?!?! First of all, it is completely unprofessional to tell me you've been too busy to find me coverage!! When you find out that one of your critical pediatric patients is going to be without coverage that should become a top priority....finding that patient coverage should be one of your top concerns for the day!! Not for American Nurses!! They forget that their jobs are very important....what they do in that office directly affects my childs health & well being, the lives of my other children, MY ENTIRE LIFE!!!!! Be careful before you choose a nursing co to take care of your loved one, do some research, read the reviews, don't be swayed by the fact that a co has been in business for years.....it clearly made no difference in this co, after what I've been through with them over the past year, I would not recommend them to anyone!!

Such an unprofessional company. (Only gave it 1 star because I cant post a review without any ratings/stars). I am surprised it has been here for 20+ years. I have been calling the company again and again for the past week and half for urgent home care for my mother, we kept on being told that a nurse will call us by the end of the day, but we never got a call. The nurse who was assigned to us was so busy that she could not even make a call, hmm, wonder how she would have made time to look after my mother. Other family members called to see if it would make a difference, but all we could get out of those calls was their total lack of concern for the patient who needed urgent care. What was even more unbelievable was their inability to get in contact with their own employees/nurses to reach out to the customer, "we have been trying to call her, but she hasn't answered" "we can assign you another nurse since this has been such an inconvenience for you" They told me this after a week and a half of us calling, please tell me they could not have found a nurse earlier on when the first was not replying to them. So frustrating. Please do not use this company.

Bad company. Not caring about the patients how they supposed to. They have a lady in the administration office called Jaci she's very rude and do not l ow how to listen to parents requests. She talk over you and being disrespectful. And on top of it she's doesn't do her job well at all. She took over 7 days just to send a plan of care that I requested for her to send after 2 days and she still found excuses to blame me while the doctor is waiting on her. I called several times to let them know I faxed them a paper that she asked me after 2 days and still didn't care about what I was telling her. I left the company just because of her.

I do understand sometimes we all have bad days and things happen. And everything may not always go our way or how we like, but my in my opinion this company is doing something right. I have recently became familiarized with this company and was so surprised to hear that they have been in the same location for 20 years. That speaks volumes about the owners and their work ethics, values, medical knowledge and customer service. And most of all ACHA has also kept them in business for the same reputable reasons so I myself trust American Nurses to care for my family members in their time of need. From my experience with their staff they are caring, competent, compassionate, knowledgeable and very experienced.

Awful customer service and communication skills, no one really knows what they are doing and when you call you get 5 different people and everyone gives you a different story. Continuous round around. Nurses that do not know how to do the basic as proper blood pressure. Save your time and save yourself a headache with this company. If you care about patient care, this company is definitely not the company for you.
