We took my grandmother to Columbus Hospice and she passed a short time later, but we could not have been more pleased with the facility and the staff. The facility was very peaceful and the staff was absolutely awesome at not only caring for my grandmothers needs but our needs. Both of her children have passed so it was the 5 grandkids taking are of everything. They were extremely supportive of all of us.

I don't know how we would have made it without y'all...wonderful, kind people.

My mother was admitted to Columbus Hospice House for becoming unstable after Dr Onley-Harden refused to prescribe the fentanyl patch mom had been on for 7 months prior, replacing it with morphine and methadone. My mother was thriving and fairly independent before Columbus Hospice. When I removed her from Columbus Hospice, she couldn't speak, feed herself, drink unassisted, walk, focus her eyes, grasp an idea or the simplest of instructions. The catheter Columbus Hospice put on her as soon as she arrived there (although she could use the restroom on her own), had only a minimal amount of dark rust colored urine in it for 2.5 days post release, even though I had given her over a gallon of fluid each day. Her body was using the fluids to rehydrate her organs. We don't allow animals to be treated like this, WHY is this allowed in Columbus Hospice? I'm not sure how this place is still open. There needs to be an investigation ASAP into what goes on here.

The staff was excellent! They took care of my grandmother's needs and saw to it that our family was comfortable. The facility is beautiful and well kept. I would recommend this place to everyone.
