My mother had seen a doctor at the women's health center there. After her prescription ran out for pain medicine, she called for a refill. On the third day after that, finally someone called back and said someone will have to come pick it up. So I rushed to Shenandoah from Red Oak (where we live) in order to get there before they closed. Then they couldn't find this doctor, and had to go on a search. Eventually another doctor was found and approved the new medicine. But it was not medicine- just a prescription. Why it couldn't have been called in to her pharmacy, we do not know. So I did become agitated, and complained that the pharmacy in Red Oak would likely be closed by the time I drove back there, and therefore she would be in pain for another night. I also informed them that if the doctor would have called back 3 days ago, this never would have happened but now the 3rd day of suffering would become 4. I didn't yell or act hostile, just made my complaint and walked out with this prescription. By the time I got home, she had called my mother on the phone and grilled her about if I abused her, since people "with tempers like him normally abuse their elderly parents". She also flat-out lied to my mom that I had 'wadded up the prescription' , saying I wouldn't be able to use it now anyway. I did not wad it up at all, she is just a liar that was trying to upset my mom. She also asked if we were 'sharing medicines', implying that I am a drug addict stealing my mom's pain meds. Then she also told my mom that she cannot take her old pain medicine in conjunction with this new kind or it would kill her. This resulted in 2 extra days of suffering, as that was completely untrue and we found later it has no medical basis in fact. Does she have any medical certifications making her qualified to give medical advice over the phone? If so- she shouldn't! And if not, then why did she do it- just to deliberately cause more suffering??? It is mind boggling that such a spiteful, lying young girl is allowed to work with the public. I wish I knew her name, but I know nothing will be done anyway. Though I would like the public to be able to know about this. Funny how neither this hospital's website nor its facebook page has info on how to contact administration nor write reviews.

my dad went there and they made his MS worse. he ended up nit being able to walk. he had multiple strokes and seizures. after they "treated" him, he was transferred to his home town and the medicine they gave him there corresponded with the medicine from Shenandoah hospital. they made my dad have a terrible life. they ruined him. i blame them. they are not getting away with this. this should not be expected from a hospital. its to help the patients, not make them worse day by day.

I will never ever go to that Medical Center again. I was referred to Dr. Michael Woods because of female problems. He wouldn't listen to me and he didn't even address the reason I was there. Total waste of my time. Should have listened to my gut and gone somewhere else. Got a second opinion, had surgery and feeling much, much better. DO NOT GO TO HIM!!!

Won't answer my phone calls or update my medicine. They claim to take care when Im sitting here having a fever and unable to sleep due to fibromyalgia and they can't even answer for a prior authorization after almost a month. I'm better off calling my recent doctor.
