I have had such great professional experiences with Heartland. As a director of nursing, I have to help residents and families during one of the most difficult times they experience. Heartland nurse Crystal in the Godfrey area has been the best hospice nurse I have evrr worked with! Anytime a resident needs something, she ensure they get it quickly! Great nurses and aides, always a pleasure to work with.

Heartland hospice allowed me to keep my mother at home with end stage Alzheimer's and multiple other diagnoses. Without their nurses, assistants and spiritual guidance this would not have been possible. Everything was done to make mom's, my, and my family's experience the best it could be under the circumstances. Our needs were anticipated and everything was in place before it was actually needed. Every aspect of the care we were given went above and beyond what I expected. Should the need arise again, I will definitely use Heartland again.

Amazing services and truly caring staff. Heartland helped my family and I during my dad's cancer diagnosis and death. They were always just a phone call away and always ready to help.

Here is my review on Fairview heartland hospice. In my opinion I owe them more then I could ever possibly owe anyone. They have hearts of gold. Every single person that was on my dad's case was the kindest, most helpful, reliable, and heart felt people in this world. They bring themselves into your live to care and help your loved one in everyway they can. My dad had bladder cancer and I had no idea what to do. I was watching him suffer and suffer badly till hospice came in the picture. They came in and made sure he had everything he would need to keep him comfortable in every way, from the body to the mind. They worked hard with my dad as he was a special case. Especially Teresa W his main nurse. She was there for me, my family, and especially my father in everyway, at any time!! If she was off then another nice helpful nurse was sent to our aid. We never had to go without for my dad because of hospice. I remember one night my father was so antsy and kept sliding himself out of bed so the nurse (Teresa) had a bed ordered and brought at 2 in the morning. Now that's what you call caring!! Sometimes it's hard on these nurses to see there patients get worse and die even though they know that's what's coming. That's because they get close with them cause they spend their time patience and poor their heart out on the patients. They give you a guidance person for you your sick loved one and the rest of your family. You can call at anytime and talk if your feeling hurt, sad, or like you just can't handle the situation and are overwelmed. They will also call you even after your loved one has passed to check on you. And if need be they will come and personally talk with you before and after your loved one had passed. I was so very bless to be able to have hospice help me. I still don't know what I would have done without them. I would have had to watch my dad suffer in the most horrific way for months till he passed if it wernt for hospice. They were what you would refer to as on the ball angels!!! Especially nurse Teresa! I owe her my life for what she did for my father. In my eyes, a thank you is just not enough, and that's all they want. Just a simple thanks for all they do. It's amazing how good they can make a person feel and how close they can get to make that person feel they are comfortable enough around them to tell them everything! My dad would hold stuff from me but let the nurse know exactly how he felt inside and he was not in the right mind I could feel it. But who would be once they know their end is very near? I give props to Pete the head guy at the office for doing what he could on this special case of my fathers.. Also Lisa the grievance counsoler for being there still today which has been half a year since my father's passing. And Daniel he is also another that would call or come if you needed to talk with someone. There is so many that work together as a team for your dying loved one and your family! They are the most understanding heartfelt people I know! I could only give the best review about them, cause that's what they all gave me, their best!! Also they go with your wishes whatever they may be. Teresa my dad's main nurse whom I just love also came to the funeral to show her respects and be there for the family!! You couldn't ask for a better association to help with you dying loved ones......
