I had surgery here back in April and I was scared to death of surgery but as soon as I arrived I began to feel at ease. Everyone from the check in counter to the medical staff were amazing, kind, and compassionate. There is one doctor I would like to mention and I think her name is doctor smith. I will never forget her she is truly a blessing to this world. Thank you to all the staff and medical personal who took great care of me.

The clinic doctors are great. However, I had a horrid, demeaning ER experience. I arrived by ambulance, not doing well after a car accident. I was not x-ray'ed despite areas of severe pain & swelling. I could have handled that if they had communicated this to me kindly. After my "care" had supposedly begun, I was left stranded in a public room of multiple patients, all in hard wooden chairs. I was sent home with untreated injuries. They said, "Come back if you need us." Why would I do that? I don't know if the PA & MD I saw were jaded & burned out, or if it's protocol to not examine areas of pain and swelling. I'm now at home with my problems worsening. I'm unsure if my insurance will pay for a separate ER this soon. PA & MD were rude, lacked empathy, were uncaring, condescending, patronizing, & lacking in basic dignity & respect. I was treated as less than human. They refused to communicate with me after changing their minds about what to do. Simple, basic communication would have quickly cleared up unnecessary confusion. Ochsner truly is a great place overall. However I will not waste my time or money at their ER again. Patients deserve to be taken seriously and treated as worthwhile human beings. The core of the problem seemed to be they forgot that patients are people deserving of dignity & respect, rather than indifference & inaccurate or rude communication.

THIS IS BY FAR THE BEST HOSPITAL IN NEW ORLEANS. FORGET UMCLSU. FORGET TULANE. THEAE PEOPLE SURPASS PATIENTS NEEDS BY 1000%. Let me explain. I suffer from severe depression and more. They made ... as others should have ... feel like a human and not a number. Chelsea the nurse is one of the most compassionate and caring nursed I have ever met. She didn't make me once feel guilty about my disease and the PA MISS Lovett had nothing but care, concern and LOVE in her eyes. She saw my needs and she took immediate action to meet them.. The two male nurses were spectacular. Wish I would have gotten their names. ANYONE who has ever criticised this hospital must have been so needy they could have have been eased by anyone. MISS CHELSEA. Miss Lovett and the student who babysat me ... from the bottom of my heart THANK YOU and May God save a space for you at the HEAD OF THE TABLE. Anthony Kelley. PS. CHESLEA DWSERVEA EMPLOYEE OF THE YEAR.

My uncle had his Right kidney removed on Wednesday morning Dr Elizabeth Peacock did his surgery and everything went well she's very professional and did a good ? job. As for as this hospital it's amazing how things have change this was my favorite hospital before Hurricane Katrina now it's anything goes don't get me wrong their are still some kind, courteous, compassionate workers such as Jessica, and Felicia they were great!!!!!!!! But the charge nurse Kenya had an attitude because the room was hot and we asked several times on yesterday for maintenance and no one ever showed up then the second day I called KENYA and she said they've already called (who is they)????????? But I will call again (very short then hung up the phone where I can hear it (slammed) . And when the maintenance man did come he told me that the air won't go away lower than 70 degrees because the thermostat is not like I'm at my house (SMH) I've never heard such a thing before because the thermostat says 60 to 90 what electrical school did he go to!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Normally hospitals are cold to help with GERMS!!!!!!! I hate to see how it feels in the day time when it's 90 degrees and up and humidity very high. I feel sorry the sick ? and well people that come here.

This is my third baby delivered at Oschner . Each time I have felt like the whole staff was genuinely interested in giving my child and I excellent care. I couldn't imagine a better birth experience. I read over some of the reviews and on the whole it seems like they were expecting a stay at the Ritz. You're having a baby, it won't be easy but at Oschner it will be safe, your and your child's best interests will be #1, and you'll feel genuinely cared for by the staff.
