    I just called and spoke with Nicole, I was very upset and sick. I was told that I didn't qualify for my insurance to cover the service. But when I asked subsequent questions about my options, she was very condescending and just repeated the same practiced script. I asked for self pay options and she was very rude. I was noticeably crying and upset and she lacked empathy. I don't understand how you are providing equipment to sick people and you lack empathy. I will continue to call around to pay self pay some where else.

    Thursday morning my father picked up a knee walker (as a rental) for me after my foot surgery. I attempted using the knee walker over the course of that day. Friday morning at 9am when Bay View Homecare opened I called to advise them that I was unable to use the knee walker. The hight adjustments were pre-set, one too high, the other too low. It had a very poor turning radius and was too heavy to even lift and turn in small spaces, especially while I am trying to balance myself with one foot. It was not functional for me. When I spoke with the office staff, they advised me that they could not issue a refund, even within 24 hours due to me being unable to use it. In my frustration I had my husband call to discuss this with management, who told him that the owner should be in on Monday and she would have them call us to discuss a refund and then schedule a pick up. Now, it is Monday afternoon. We have not heard from the office, however, the driver called to say he would be here to pick up the knee walker. I explained the situation to him, he said he would call tomorrow to pick it up, to give me time to call the office again. My husband called just now to speak to Joan, the billing manager, however she is apparently in charge when the owners are not there. She stated that the owners did not come in today, as soon as they do she'll talk to them. We advised her that if we weren't getting a refund, that we'd keep it for month that we paid for, the point being so that we pay for one month then return it a few days later and they rent it to someone else, doubling their income. She proceeded to tell me that they wouldn't be doubling their income. To avoid an argument, I asked again for her to have the owners call us when they decide to come in, to which (patronizingly) she answered "I'd love to" and hung up. I find it frustrating that this company is making money by allowing employees to be sarcastic, condescending, and pretentious to sick and injured patients (customers). And that the owners are not reachable by management when they are not in the office.
