The VA doctor ordered a wound nurse to come once a day, not twice a week. Heartland accepted the job of sending a wound nurse here once a day. My fiance filled out paperwork and verbally confirmed the fact that a wound nurse would be here once every day (when Heartland came into our home the first time). That first time they were here, my fiance was also told that his wound nurse would be here after 8am on Monday. At noon on Monday, my fiance called Heartland to make sure a wound nurse was going to make it here. It was at that time my fiance was notified a wound nurse only comes out twice a week. Why would Heartland accept a job they can not do? Why would they come into our home, fill out paperwork, acknowledge the fact that my fiance needs a wound nurse, and then deny him what the doctor ordered? If Heartland can not do the job, that is fair enough. Please, do not accept a client when you are unable to provide the services the doctor has ordered. And Heartland, please, refer us to another home health care provider. You may not be able to provide these services, but maybe, Heartland, you provide services that other home health care agencies do not. So maybe, Heartland, down the road, some other agency will refer a client to you that they can not help. The community should work together for the greater good of all people. If our community is somehow cheating their very own citizens, then why live here? Why does our own community hurt our own community. Now my fiance has to wait for another home health care agency to come into our home, again, to get services started. Hopefully, this time, it will be with a more honest agency. This is my fiance's health on the line.
