Fairview Hospice is an amazing hospice service! Being an independent home care provider for seniors has given me the opportunity to see how different hospice agencies work. While I think all of them did a fine job, in my opinion Fairview Hospice stood above the rest. They are kind, compassionate, caring and very attentive. I was the home care person for the gentleman on hospice and his wife. Even though I was not a family member, Fairview Hospice was very kind and respectful to me at all times. I was impressed with how quickly Fairview Hospice got back to the family if they had any questions. They provide a doctor, nurses, social worker, chaplain, aid, music therapist, massage therapist and volunteer. You can use as much or as little of these services as you like. I met each of them at some point and honestly couldn't have been more impressed. There was not one person in this group that didn't do a good job and they provided their special talents in a loving and caring way. I would highly recommend Fairview Hospice!

The nurses that they have there at Fairview Homecare and hospice overstepped their bounds they want you to sign contract but they won't come and take your groceries out of the car and bring them into your house when you have to walk they're very unprofessional and I just don't like them especially Sheila she's a little snitch if it wasn't for her they probably still be working on me I wouldn't use them if I were you

I had home care everyday for 4 weeks. Every nurse I had was kind and comforting. Always asking if I was okay during their admission of treatment. I would recommend these people to everyone. Thanks to Sue who came to my house everyday except on the weekends. GREAT CARE !!!

Went through intake process with my family member. Might as well have been applying for a car loan. Horribly insensitive, only concern was getting their paperwork back to the office before 5. Never asked questions about potential patient and life story. Spoke in medical jargon only. Was rude to present caregivers. We opted out and chose another provider. Huge difference. Interview more than one and compare!

I spent the day with my aunt that is receiving hospice care from Fairview. When I arrived I had to hold down her flailing arms and legs for an hour and a half before the nurse came and then it was hours before she looked comfortable. The family is begging for IV pain medication because the oral is not working obviously due to her inability to swallow. The nurse got her more comfortable temporarily at about 1 pm today, but left them with a leaking rectal tube to give the meds through. Her shoulders were twitching when I left. They really want IV pain meds. She has a portacath. She went through the pain and expense to have this placed and now they won't use it. Is this a cost thing?? The nurse basically told the MD the patient didn't need it. The family is stuck with every two hour pain administration. He 80 some year old husband is beside himself, and her daughter is severely sleep deprived. At any point the tube may come out, or leak. Or they will find her pain meds on the pad under her. It is hard to know how much meds she is getting. We are just waiting for the flailing so start again. I'm an ex oncology nurse and I cannot not believe this poor plan. I promised my aunt I would make sure she did not have pain. The family cannot call 911 because they agreed not too and now the insurance will not pay because they signed an agreement to leave this to hospice. She spent from 4 am until 1 pm flailing in pain. Also before the nurse left she pointed fingers at the family and said it was probably our fault that she was agitated because we were arguing with the nurse about the pain meds. Ya that was it, not the CANCER!!! I'm sure. She must have overlooked the 3 hours I spent holding her and trying to calm her. Make the family feel guilty. Great. I cannot believe the poor care.
