Deplorable! Less than a 1 star!! Filthy! Never bathed my family member in 8 days, he had dried blood crusted into his hair. Demanded we pay $5000.00 up front cost. When told they didn't have that money , they were willing to discount and negotiate. An Alzheimer male patient crawled in bed with my mother who was staying with him. The staff told us "that patient does that all the time". " We can't stop him from doing that." We pulled our family members out that morning and they then reported our family member to Adult Protective Services for neglect! To try and get out ahead of this!!! DO NOT ALLOW YOUR HOSPITAL TO TRANSFER YOUR LOVED ONE TO THIS FACILITY!

The first time my dad went to North Ridge, it was a great experience. That was a few years ago. Since then, things seem to have gone downhill. My dad has been there several times and while the PT and OT staff seem very capable and caring, my dad had the same problem as others with no one answering his call light. The last time he went, laundry lost a brand new pair of pants. The doctor came irregularly and I had a hard time connecting with them. Social Workers were always very helpful, but I think the turnover is very high in that area as well. We will not be returning there.

We placed our mother there a couple of years ago. Yes laundry loses things and there appear to be residents snooping through rooms when the tenant is out and they then take items. However room has always been clean, common areas clean, and nurses and lunchroom staff have always been helpful and pleasant. They stay busy with crafts and give willing residents little simple jobs to do so they feel useful and important. Families are always welcome to go to meetings there and family events. We love the idea my dog can go there and the residents love when he arrives, they ask to pet him and enjoy watching him be with our mom. It is what it is, you get out of it what you put into it. For residents that are willing to help and do crafts and enjoy their time there, they have fun and enjoy living there. We are pleased with the care that mom is receiving from the NORTH section of North Ridge.

Does neet meet minimum standards set up by Medicare. Transitional care units are supposed to have minimum amounts of PT, OT etc. My father received PT once a day and no offer to ambulate him at any other point. When my dad put the light on to use the Bathroom the first night, the aid came in and said "What do you want"! This is totally inappropriate. I think this place should be avoided. He did say that during his stay he like his daytime nurse and that she was good. Well all I can say is that is one out of ? 10.

My Mom came to this facility to recover from hip surgery. She was there the first night and told me she wasn't being treated nice. The ladies that worked there were rude. Slamming down her tray of food and not helping her when she asked. The 2nd day, my mom pushed her button for help and when no one came, she tried to get up to use the restroom and fell in her other side from her surgery. She suffered huge bruises. We tried to work with the person that works there to get her transfered and they were extremely in helpful. So, by the 4th day I took matters in my own hands and found a wonderful place for my mom to recover, but, they didn't have an opening for 3 more days. So, our hands were tied. But, by the 5th day my mom wasn't feeling well and saying good bye to her loved ones. I asked the nurses at North Ridge to release my mom, she needed to go to the hospital. They said they wouldn't because her vitals were fine. So, my husband and I took her ourselves. The Staff were not happy. We got to the Hospital and found out my mom had a bleeding ulcer and clots in her leg. So, if I had not "kidnapped" her from North Ridge she might have died. I would never recommend this poorly ran facility.
