My first experience with the first employee of Heartland wasn't too good. However, that was one person I dealt with at the beginning of this journey with Heartland and I look at it as a speed bump in our experience. Since then, I've met and dealt with several other of their employees and have found those individuals to be in complete sync with my values and expectations and I am satisfied with how the hospice team has treated both my father and the family. Update: Dad ended up doing another move to an upgraded facility for a higher level of care and Heartland coordinated and made this come together pretty smoothly...thanks Kim!

Would give less of a star if possible. When my family used them for my Mom to care for my Dad they did nothing! My mother was giving the care, we supplied the medical bed, oxygen machines, toilet...all my mom asked for was supplies for wound care, and they failed at supplying that. When my mother called them for "Help" they were not there. When my father had fallen out of his chair it was over 2.5 hrs response time, yet family made it in 12 minutes from the other side of town. You will constantly be fighting with the administration for supplies, and for them to treat your loved one with respect. The only good I've heard from my mother was when my dad was about to pass the nurse that finaly showed up was very nice and helped with the final breathe(s) of my father and did the best she could to make him comfortable. I nor the rest of my family (one is in medical feild) would not recommend this company.
