I hate to pile on but my experience with Vitas in serving my aunt was a disaster. At a staffing meeting the nurse jumped up and left the room crying. We switched to Hospice of Cincinnati and my dear aunt thought she had been "cured" because they were able to relieve her pain. I always recommend Hospice of Cincinnat. Sorry Vitas, you need to be more professional.

I took my mother to this hospice when she only had a few weeks left to live. In my personal experience with Vitas, they were truly a godsend. All the nurses that cared for mom were very loving and caring, true angels. They were always trying to make her feel comfortable, happy and clean. It takes special people to work in hospice and these guys worked very hard day and night to make sure my mom had a peaceful rest. Vitas was a big blessing for me and my family, we are glad we went with them. Jeff

I cannot say enough good things about Vitas Innovative Hospice. I had both of my parents with Vitas, and my mother still is. My dad passed last week and the nurses were right there with him. I would not have felt comfortable leaving him with the facility nurses because all facilities are under-staffed. The hospice nurses, chaplain, social worker, were all at my parents' disposal, any time of day or night. They cared about my dad as much as I did, until he passed. I know I will continue to receive support from this great group of angels, and I am picky.....I am a nurse! Thanks, to all of you for your kind and loving care!

My Dad in his 80's had Hospice Care in for his friend and found that this is NOT the Hospice we thought it was. Hospice of Cincinnati was wonderful...perfect for my late husand. This Hospice sent out nurses that didn't provide directed meds, couldn't keep her comfortable and at peace and smoked in his kitchen several times. He is a non-smoker.

9/7/2010. The last week of my loved one's life & his peace was stolen (among other things) by trashy, uneducated nurse who withheld his pain medication for a full 12 hours due to not being able to know that a psriosis rash is not an allergic reaction to morophine. I was completely astounded that anyone this uneducated would be sent into my husband on his deathbed! And not only that we discovered personal property missing after the incident. I just threw them out. I have had glowing reports of Cincinnati Hospice. I should have went with them!!!
