Doctor in E. R. was very uncaring. If you are in pain, don't go. They treat you like your a drug addict. I have never done drugs, alcohol or anything like that. I am a grandmother to 9 children. I can't even move my arm because of pain. I can't even get dressed by myself. Did he care? No!! The nurses there were good. I was not even taken into the emergency room. Just a small room out front. I have been crying for two days because of the pain. Do I want pain meds? No, I just want some help and relief from the pain. They just say see your primary doctor. I am on medicare and have been trying to find a doctor for months. Most doctors don't want to take someone on Medicare or they are not accepting new patients. I suppose here in Oregon they are trying to get rid of the elderly and handicap. I suppose all I can do now is cry and hope that God will take care of me. Because nobody else will and certainly not this doctor in the E. R.

Very kind fast an efficient, did additional test to verify concern, was not pushed through like some hospitals do, very very nice environment, I would choose that hospital over any other hospital anywhere !!!!!!! Thank you

Carol just had the best, most pleasant and easy MRI ever! The sedation helped perfectly, nothing at all like my recent attempt at another facility where I had a panic attack & had to get out of the machine. This was like a day at the spa. Thanks for all the kind attention and pleasantness.

We had to have our second child at Mckenzie-Willamette. We arrived this am at 7am to have my wife induced. River bend is where we had our first child and I stayed for 3 months or so during some health issues. Its a nice hospital so we thought we may be dissapointed but not at all. The birthing rooms are real nice and look a lot like River bends rooms. Lots of accommodations for comfort. Despite a women 2 rooms down that we could hear while walking. We cannot hear anything from inside our room. In fact we both have got alot of rest waiting for labor to start. Dr Melanie Konradi is Awsome our nurse Kelly is equally Awsome. Besides a very in uneventful 10 hours the hospital itself and staff are great. Also walking through the halls to help labor and by myself going outside a couple times. I have seen more security then nursing staff. This tells me the nursing staff stay busy with nursing duties. As for security with so many around they spared no expense keeping this hospital safe. I have never seen so much security at a hospital before. The smaller environment gives it a very focused feel. Now having used both hospitals in Springfield I think its fair to say though River Bend has size and room service ECT.. McKenzie Willamette is a very good hospital with a smaller feel.

I'm sure many if not most of the doctors and nurses at McKenzie-Willamette Medical Center are skilled, caring and wonderful people, but their business office is unethical and unavailable. My wife was charged $2,500 for a ROUTINE Colonoscopy, which under the Affordable Care Act is considered a routine procedure with no charge. But the doctor at McKenzie-Willamette Medical Center billed the Routine procedure as Diagnostic, and there is no appeal process. We are out more than two thousand dollars because of their incompetent billing office and procedures. I have filed a complaint with the Oregon Medical Board. Be VERY CAREFUL when booking any procedure at this facility. Make SURE that insurance will cover what you were told they would cover. GET IT IN WRITING. Or the business office will rob you blind. EDIT: I increased from one star to three stars. OK - McKenzie-WIllamette Hospital outsources their business office to somewhere in Tennessee. A bunch of rude folks who cast a very negative light on the facility. But I was able to get in touch with the business manager here in Eugene, and she was EXTREMELY HELPFUL - even working with us to obtain a FULL REFUND. Too bad they can't maintain a staff to direct their business here in Eugene. But that is the way of the world now. I deleted some of my caustic observations, but left in the advice. Be careful. Make sure insurance will cover the procedure before signing anything......
