I'm not big on writing negative bc its isn't nice. But.... New life home nursing is the worst!!! I've been dealing with them since yesterday to set up home care for my mother. Words can't adequately describe the aggravation. Minilli-probably spelling her name wrong- is the person I initially spoke with at their office and she was nice and tried to help. She tried to get the assigned nurse to call. Which was a circus ordeal of phone calls. Moving forward to "Olga" the nurse... Phone demeanor was horrible and projected "not my job" attitude in regards to my questions/services. Olga arrives at my house and continues with her non shining personality. Before I even enter the room, my daughter communicates olga's horrible and rude as she goes to another room to get away. She's a teenager so I dismiss the comment. I enter the room, my mom is un-nerved and very stressed. I tell her to sit down. The visit continues. My mom is getting angry. The woman's tone is demeaning and condescending. This part is funny... Olga asked my mom's if she knows her d.o.b. and my mom harshly replies back d.o.b and adds on at 2:10am. I smile!!! I know it's not just me for sure now... My mom's pissed! Crazy bc I'm biting my tongue the whole time wondering if I'm just being cranky bc I'm tired, the dining room being spread across the house bc its now going to be my mom's bedroom, also that room is currently being painted today, the massive amount of misplaced in my downstairs hall waiting for a new home, pending appointments and crap to do... You know life as we all know it. That last bit is to show what my brain goes thru before I get upset or express I'm upset... I try to evaluate first and make sure warranted. Doesn't always work but I try. Lol Then I make a comment about "this is ridiculous" and she didn't skip a beat. She tries to justify instead of realizing she is abrasive as hell and stressing my whole house. She is definitely use to such an interaction. We weren't?!?!? The visit eventually concludes. The woman doesn't get out of my driveway and I call the New life office stating we didn't enjoy the nurse we just had out and we would like a different one. The person gets me a supervisor. I start talking to supervisor stating "Olga was just here and we didn't enjoy her and would like a different nurse going forward" (the polite way of saying it was horrible). The supervisor Lana doesn't ask what was wrong or what happened but replies, "she isn't there for your pleasure".... I'm dumbfounded for a second or two... I then say, "did you really just say..... " I continue and say one moment... I want to make sure I have the words correctly bc I plan to repeat them a lot. She continues with, "she wasn't there for you anyway. Your not the patient" I reply with, "well, the patient didn't like her and is now upset". my mom interrupts that Olga made her feel like trash. There's more horrible from both interactions but that should summarize. Never once did the supervisor Lana ask what transpired or exert an inkling of concern for my mother. The call ended with- if they have another nurse they will send a different one. Next call was to Temple to find a different skilled nursing company since they referred New life nursing company. I relayed the highlights of the experience to Natasha(Temple). Natasha was kind, sweet and very understanding. Thank you Minnelli and Natasha for being great, respectful and superior customer service/patient relations skills. As for New life home nursing... Anyone needing home nursing needs compassionate people not abrasive, condescending and rude people. They might need that compassion more then the nurse visit itself. This was not even close to our experience. I'm glad I was home and able to handle this woman/company. I can't imagine the stress and frustration one would feel if they had no choice but to accept that behavior and service bc they're to sick to do something about it.
