Was able to qualify for snap but since being diagnosed with a terminal, non operable lung cancer I can not qualify for medicaid. I am not able to work, immune system has been low because of white blood cells are low because of chemo, might get a deadly infection.. Yet I do.not qualify, as an American , worked hard since 13 , naturally an American. I guess I'm.not a minority, oh but I am, a woman, terminally ill, white, an American by birth I deserve medicaid.

My grandchildren were placed with their other grandmother because there was neglect in the home. I am the initial report to DSS. I will never again report anyone to DSS. My daughter has followed everything that she was told to do. She has gone to parenting classes, left her husband, changed jobs (her previous job required overnight stays) so that she is home more, which decreased her income and resulted in her having to move to a smaller home, she has jumped through every fiery hoop DSS has thrown at her and still her children have not been returned! I will never make any reports to DSS again about children being neglected. I thought DSS was supposed to help families and keep them together. The Oconee DSS is a joke! I only gave them one star because you have to select a star in order to post the comment!

I didn't have to sit and wait for help. No lines. And employees were knowledgeable and somewhat nice....They could use a shot of "niceness" thought. No smiles or have a good day kind of thing. But it was a easy experience.

They took my disability and turned it into a jail visit cause my ammonia level was elevated and they would not do and sobriety test on me or they wouldn't take my blood after asking the officer to please do so.. The staff was nice though..
