The staff here are angels. Their kindness and compassion are amazing. We feel blessed to have you during this time. From all of the family of Carol Wagner.

I was a current client of this provider as an in-home hospice provider. I cannot begin to express my utter disappointment in Wellmont Hospice. The in-home level of care was minimal at best with the family having to inform the care provider of the obvious level of additional assistance that was needed instead of the care providers seeing that for themselves. Additionally, comments made by one of the care providers made it sound as if patients were treated as "files" instead of human beings in the last phase of their life. Due to the above and a few other factors, we made the decision to change Hospice care providers. The new provider was tremendously more responsive to our needs while delivering to those with a very high level of empathy and caring. Due to the care provider change, the former Wellmont equipment needed to be replaced with the new provider's but instead of waiting for a requested three days, to exchange the equipment, Wellmont refused the request. Instead of being by my mother's bedside to comfort her (she passed about two hours later) we were instead moving her to a new bed which caused her a lot of distress. This speaks further to the lack of empathy that we experienced. I am very hopeful that others haven't experienced the above and that ours was simply an anomaly. I am further hopeful that this feedback can be used constructively to provide a better experience for future patients and their families..

The home hospice services provided to our mother were caring, compassionate, and professional, with a good dose of empathy and kindness thrown in.

My father spent 5 days at this facility. I have never had to experience Hospice care, but I am so grateful it was at Wellmont Hospice. I cannot praise the staff and volunteers enough. Mike was my father's RN on his last day there. Mike was so kind and sincere in his words to us and respectful of my dad.

My family and friends have spoke very highly of this place. I am mainly just adding pictures as a local guide.
