The staff that I have dealt with, do not want to do anything but watch tv and talk on the phone. They don't spend any time with the clients. They don't want to take the clients anywhere.They tell lies to get out of working. The management in the office take up for them, and make excuses for them, take their word for anything they say. They are not monitored. They get their training by staff that needs to be retrained. They use staff that have been in a house for a while to be RD, " House Manager". The problem with that is, they are already friends with the other staff. The Management take their time getting things done. If they get it at all. They try to put it off on some other management. They give all kinds of excuses why it hasn't been taken care of, and assure you it will be done. Just don't know when. Half the time the management, or staff, know nothing about their clients. Management doesn't have a clue about what the clients rights are. Even when the clients have a guardian, they still treat them as if they don't. Not letting the guardian know when they are put on new meds, or lab results, etc: Talk to them without guardian knowledge or permission. They are always shorthanded and end up loosing employees because of low pay and overworked.
