My uncle was admitted about 3 weeks ago. The 3rd floor staff is the most rude & insensitive we've ever come across. One aide, in particular, hollers at everyone, regardless of whether you are a patient or visitor. My uncle was moved to the first floor where the staff is more compassionate. However, his TV is probably from the 90s, remote control doesn't work, & his bed is not suitable for someone who is rehabilitating from stroke. The smell in his "new" room is musty. His wife (my aunt) said the food isn't real - powdered eggs, for example. And while she's supposed to get a meal when he gets his, they often skip her. Very sad. Hopefully we can transfer him soon.

A great place to get rehab and return back home! The staff are very caring and the facility is clean.

My sister was a hospice patient at Golden Acres during the final 6 weeks of her life. During that time, I went to the nursing home almost every day. I got to know many of the staff - her nurses, CNAs and others. Every person I encountered at Golden Acres was competent, helpful, and had a positive attitude. My sister's caregivers were caring, compassionate and supportive to her - and to me. It's an older facility with nice outdoor space, a windowed dining room, tasty food, and lots of daily activities. All the full-time residents I met are very content living there. The Rehab. staff at Golden Acres really helped me thru a very difficult experience.

Courteous staff, excellent nursing management, nice facility with private rooms. These folks really care about what they do and it shows in all they do and say. I'd highly recommend the facility to anyone.
