My mother has been a resident here for years as she has had to navigate the difficult aging path and mobility transitions. It's not a perfect process for all involved, including the GA staff. These adjustments can be challenging. I do know that she is appreciative for their care and tells me this personally even though she is very private by nature. Thank you GA for your continued interest in her comfort and care.

We have all heard stories about places like this; well my family's worst nightmare was met this passed week; when we admitted our mother into this rehab/nursing facility. It was just suppose to be for a week of physical therapy. My mother was checked in about 9pm from being in the hospital; Friday night and when we were there one of the night nurses came in and said that there would be no therapy till Monday. My family and I left about 10:30 that first night; that's when it all started my mom was trying to go to the bathroom and the nurses from hell came in and were putting mom back in the bed my mom was very delicate and everything hurt so they were grabbing her by her legs and feet to put back in bed and my mom was in pain and was telling them to be careful because they were hurting her and to only grab the heal part and she was ignored, then they both started mocking her telling her where did she think she was going then one of the nurses pinched my mother and twisted the pinched. Then they proceeded to mock her and tell her ; what are you going to do about it. We came to see my mom the next day to be told by a family friend that they found my mother completely soiled and not having a pull up on. She got there attention and went and cleaned and changed my mom. Later on my mother's foot was completely bleeding and I went to get the nurses and they took forever to change and wrap her foot . The nurses only wanted to make excuses about Everything! I got my mother out of that place right then! She was not even there 24 hrs. I heard that they changed owners about 2 years ago please!!! Do not take your love ones to this horrible place..

My husband passed recently and when I went to get his items out of his room, their were items stolen, from his room, clothing, caps, shoes, towel, a rack to hold items, cologne, jackets, blankets, even cleaning supplies etc .it was terrible emotional pain, to actually think that this facility would not have any idea who took his items, this is a man that passed and the price does not matter it is the principal and sentimental value. I hate for this to happen to other defenseless human beings there, they gave my son some of the items back in a trash bag and stated to him that this was all they could recover. Case was handled poorly. The employees that they hire need to be carefully screened as the person that took the items they stated she was part time and had no permission on that particular floor, she is the one that covers shifts that nobody wants, a floor nurse reported this person and that it looked suspicious because this was not her floor and was entering my late husbands room, when she was asked she stated that she was there to straightening out the room. The room was in so out of order drawers gone through and his items taken, closet there was clothing on the floor and etc. Please make sure you keep a close eye on your loved ones as to they cannot fend for themselves.
