I just had the worst phone experience with the owner, Elizabeth Marrera! She has no customer service skills, professionalism , or compassion. We wasted 3 valuable days waiting for someone to show up at the hospital for us to sign consent forms for my father. When I called and spoke to her about it, she cut me off several times, didn't care, and told me I need to find someone else! The RN I dealt with was not the problem., it was the weekend staff and the owner!!!! If this is how the family is treated, I can only imagine how they treat our loved ones !!! I would NOT recommend this company to my worst enemy.

Global hospice does the bare minimum to check off their boxes for insurance purposes. When questioned, we didn't have the medical understanding to be further educated on the process ahead of us. Medication needed nearing our loved end of life required us going to a local pharmacy to pick it up. This is not common for larger hospice if the medication is morphine or anxiety due to the fundamental need during end of life. I think if we were to do it over again we would have used El Paso Hospice. Global hospice is just too small to provide the same level of care as larger hospice services. I'm not saying it's the worst service just not something we would be interested in the future if they're still around. If you looking at this service for palliative care because you think your loved one isn't ready for hospice, then remember this is the only company that provides this service. Denial was very strong in my family and was the only way to get my loved one home. Try to use a real hospice service that is large enough to handle after hour services.
