I had to go and pick my mom up and transport her to the hospital where she was immediately admitted. They offered to transport her but like 24 hour notice, but since they forgot to order her drain bottles for her only lung to be drained daily we didn't have any time to spare since it was not drained for 3 days.. This was 2 days after she was discharged by OT/PT. I still don't understand why they discharge based on how well the patient is progressing with their exercise . She had a medical team that should have been the ones to discharge based on her lab work . Her lab work got progressively worse, and so did her abilities to do OT/PT. So why didn't her "Team of Doctors " notice that if you don't have good lab work 1). You won't be able physically to do exercises . 2). She should have been sent back to the hospital, since they were saying she ease the getting better there she should go home. Again no mention of hospital.

Our family member who is a resident in Independent Living has really settled into her apartment. There are many scheduled activities throughout the week; and exceptional, caring staff in all departments. Recently we had to utilize the Skilled Nursing Unit after a hospital visit. Again - wonderful staff who helped our family member gain strength before returning to her own apartment. This facility caters to all aspects of a resident's health - physical, mental and emotional; as well as providing support to resident families. I highly recommend Brookdale Galleria.

Terrible care in the nursing care facility. My mom left here in an ambulance due to the incompetent staff. She had to be taken to the emergency room with severe bleeding. This was due to negligence on the part of the staff who forgot to refill the water reservoir on her oxygen tank. Dry oxygen can be very dangerous for elderly patients. None of the nursing staff had even noticed she was covered in blood until my brother saw her during his visit. She had been bleeding for a long time. It was good thing my brother had visited because the staff was not paying attention.

I am a nutrition student studying to be a dietitian at the University of Northern Colorado. I had an assignment to discuss different diet options offered at a local nursing home or assisted living facility. After contacting Brookdale I was not only rudely dismissed and told "this information was common knowledge", but was further interrogated as to how I got their phone number and why was I calling. If calling and discussing this was such a problem, I can only imagine how they treat their residents. EXTREMELY poor customer service.
