    The nurses, aides, and other support staff are worth their weight in gold! Actually the care they have given to both my mother and father (and inadvertently to my husband and I) is priceless. Each one of their staff has their own style and personalities that bring an added plus in letting us know that they care. Cheerful, quiet, always smiling, quirky, steady, quick, they are efficient and in their own ways let us know they really care; it is not just a job and a paycheck. Their team is a credit to their company. Thank you for "bending over backwards" in helping us through a very difficult time in our lives!

    We wanted to take the time and "Thank You" as a family for the great experience we had with your staff as they cared for our mother while she was under your hospice care. Several of my family members including myself are in the health care field so our expectations were high. Your employees did so well, we were so pleased with the care and concern they showed my mother daily and showed us as a family. We especially wanted you to know that we felt like the two iCare nurses that we worked with were excellent at their jobs. They showed so much expertise in their fields and also were so personable and easy to work with. They listened to our mother's needs and what the wishes of the family were also. We feel we were so blessed to have these two women in our lives during this time. They always had time to answer any questions we had day or night, they truly showed love and concern to our mother and us. They listened to us as a family and were always so professional in everything they did. They were amazing! They kept our mothers dignity through some trying times and we felt like our mother always looked our best because of their extra care. Even the day she passed away, they made sure she looked her best before her passing. Again they were willing to listen to us and our desires and went the extra mile to make each day pleasant for our mother. We appreciate the hospice experience we had with your company and your employees and want to tell you "Thank You".

    My father was dying and had been in and out of the hospital. He really didn't have a great experience with iCare home health. We were referred by the hospital to go with iCare so we trusted that they would know who was good. iCare was thrilled to have us start care they had a nurse come out the day my dad came home from the hospital and told us all the services they offered to help make my father confortable and happy as can be. we felt like we had chosen the right place to go with. But once we had my father admitted it felt like they dropped the ball. The CNA's are always late or don't come at all. they never call and say they will ne late, and they don't tell you that when its a holiday they don't come either. We were told that we would have CNA's 3-5 days a week, but once on services they gave us only 3 per week. When I called and let them know that we really could use more help which was discussed before we can on services. But they said Medicare only cover 3 days a week. Then we never had a nurse come out to visit with my father after the initial admit for weeks. I felt like I had trusted that my father was going to have care but when I found out that the CNA's and the Nurses were not coming as planned I felt lied to and taken advantage. I told the office gal that answered the phone when I called icare about my feelings and she said because we are already on services it would be difficult to change to a different home health because they said that medicare only pays for 6 months worth and we had already used 2 months worth, and no other company will want to give care because we has already used some of his medicare benefits. I was so upset but we didn't know what to do. The office girls said she would speak to the owner and see if we could see if they could have more CNA's go out and would call me back. The gal never apologized for the miscommunication or lack of care or anything! After a couple days I called back because nobody called and they didn't know what I was talking about. I wish I knew the gals name who I had spoke to but I figured she would have called me. So icare said they would research who I may have spoken to and would call me back. My husband told me to call another home health company and asked them what they thought. So I called a different home health company and I was told totally different medicare benefits, they told me that medicare pays $146 dollars per day no mater how much care is given. So if we need CNA and nurses everyday we could have that but then the home health company will make less money so that why iCare said they would only give us 3 days per week for CNA's and only 1 nurse every couple of weeks. I also found out that the home health I called has social workers and a chaplain that normally come to visit. I told them that we wished we had gone with that company but now its too late to change and we are stuck with icare. The home health company told me that its not too late and we can switch at any time we wanted. we switched to the new company needless to say. I was so upset that Icare told us the lies we trusted them that they new what is covered and how it works. We were new to medicare and hospice and they just wanted to make money. They didn't care about my dad at all. When I called and told I was canceling hospice with iCare then the owner Jill called and she told me that iCare was the best and I was making a mistake and there must have been a miscommunication. I thought it was interesting that I called and nobody cared until we wanted to cancel iCare. But we are so much happier with the new company we are with and its a hard experience to see your dad die but its going as good as it can be now. So if anyone reads this beware of iCare they lie and only care about money. Its like they have no conscious at all and they will tell you anything to get you sign up then they lie to make it feel like you can't cancel with them.
