Without a doubt the most discourteous and unprofessional company on every level that I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with. I have not spoken to a single person working for Apria Healthcare locally or nationally that was able to address my concerns. I will never use this company again. Good riddance! *Update* 8-16-2017. I have since found a local durable medical equipment provider that is far, far superior to Apria Health Care. Prince William Home Medical on Sudley Rd in Manassas VA. They have replacement C-PAP supplies in stock, they take my insurance, and they have a respiratory therapist on staff there with 40yrs experience. I found out that I've been using the wrong size mask for my C-PAP machine for four years since Apria Health Care NEVER BOTHERED TO FIT ME PROPERLY FOR THE MASK!! I was told that I was expected to know what size mask I needed when I picked the machine up. If I guessed wrong, I would still have to pay for the incorrect mask. Fortunately, Syd, the respiratory therapist at PW Home Medical used a simple template to size the correct mask for my face. Took about 30 seconds. I now have the correct size mask which works much better, with fewer leaks. I only wish I could drive the final nail in the coffin containing the rotting corpse that is Apria Health Care.

Would give a 0 but can't. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. We have insurance through where I work and my husband is on Medicare. They file with both Anthem and Medicare which pays all but less than a dollar of the charges. Then the bill us for much more than they should. We have turned them over to Anthem and are reporting this issue to Medicare. Plus we are going to call our credit card company and not allow auto charges by Apria. We are also changing to another provider as this happens every 6 months when my husband's CPAP supplies are sent.

HORRIBLE SERVICE! I was given a breast pump in by them (when I didn't ask for one) since my daughter was in NICU and it was covered under Obamacare. I return on time, even though their pick up company was terrible and stood me up once. I then get a bill using their breast pump with a Return date one month longer than I had it! Not my fault you use a faulty service! They stated that the acct was resolved and I don't owe money. Now 15mo later, I get another bill (wasn't this acct resolved?!) with no explanation of costs. I call the first time and the line somehow drops mid conversation. The second time the guy is a total jerk, sarcastic, demanding and then mid sentence places me to the automatic payment line. Rude! Horrible horrible horrible! These people had no notes in the system and as far as I'm concerned are scammers.

Dealing with Apria Healthcare has been a terrible experience. The first time I called I was told by a staff member that I didn't have a valid perscription. The person on the other end of the phone told me I needed to get it reissued with correct information. They could not tell me why it was invalid or what needed to change. I called again several minutes later and got a different person who said it was valid and was having trouble with insurance. The cost of the equipment was small and I was in a medical emergency situation so I told them I would just pay for it. The service representative told me she needed approval to not go through insurance and that the person who could approve had gone home. Rediculous. Avoid at all costs.

My experience with Apria has been garbage. I have been trying to order a new CPAP machine for nearly two months now and the good people at Apria could not have stymied me more effectively at each turn if they had tried. First, I put in an order. Then three weeks later without a word from them I call to see what the issue is. They say, "oh," turns out the insurer wants more documentation. They claim they had tried to call me several times to tell me they needed this information. I had not received any calls so I asked what number they had on file for me. What they read back was correct; they just hadn't been calling me. So I wrangle all the medical records they need over the next couple of weeks and get my doctor to fax to them everything they asked for. Again, complete silence. I call back today to see what the deal is and it turns out they had just been sitting on my records, doing nothing with my order. I need a medical device and these people can't be bothered to lift a finger without having literally everything spelled out for them. Every representative who answers the phone also has a generally unprofessional demeanor. They can't spell, they can't speak coherently, and most of all, they are allergic to taking the initiative. I'm going to take my business elsewhere. I've had enough.
