My mother was admitted to this facility after being hospitalized for four weeks. I chose the facility because of the rating it received in US and World Report and it's vicinity to my home. I was impressed with the gym when I visited and the fact I didn't have to schedule a visit. I had a bit of a problem with getting my mother's pain managed. I had to debate with the nurse and charge nurse which I found ridiculous. They did call the doctor who changed the medication. Later that same night a nurse spent an hour searching for pudding to feed a ground pill to my mother. She could take tablets without issue. This caused the pain to become worse while my mother waited for the medication. The occupational and physical therapy teams are very nice. They seem to genuinely care about their patients' progress. They are encouraging and dogged (in a good way) in their persistence to get patients to do the work. I was impressed with their care and how they engaged my mother in conversation during her sessions. The facility is undergoing some renovations to make it more inviting. Carpet is being replaced with laminate flooring and the nurses stations are looking more like they are from the 21st century. The rooms all have windows with nice views. My only complaint is that they don't really have uniforms. Most of the care staff where scrubs, but not everyone does. There was on young woman who was a comfort assistant. She had on leggings and a shirt that was so small it rolled up her body exposing her back. Not very professional.

When you walk into this place it stinks of piss. It looks like there is no house keeping. Dusty as hell and the floors hasn't been swept for months. Its all Africans that's trying to save the company money on A/C. Hot as hell. People were lying out in the hall sleeping. Where is NBC or FOX Action News. How about OSHA or The HEALTH DEPARTMENT. Dont send your family there

I visited a friend at Woodbine today. The place was clean and I did not spell any odors (I have a very sensitive nose). The staff was very friendly and my friend has been please with her stay there.

Avoid this place at all cost!! WARNING!!!! Do not be fooled by the people on the front line. The nurses are very incompetent, mainly Africans who bearly speak English. The doctor only comes once a week. My dad contracted Hep C from there, he also developed a sore so bad that you could see his bone! The nurses and CNA's never notified me or the doctor of the extent of the wound. It came from not being moved from his bed. Just the thought of my dad at the place makes me want to cry. All I can say is "I beg you, if you have another option- TAKE IT! Worst place ever!

I do not know about the past but yesterday it is a nice place to rehabilitate and recuperate. my father was there ten years ago-he walked out after a month-fully recovered. my mother went in yesterday. the place is undergoing renovation-looks nice when they get done. the food has much improved with mom getting crab cakes for dinner tonite. the staff is alert and attentive to mom's needs and the questions have been quickly and completely answered. the staff is alert and aware of needs-you hit the call button and one of the ladies shows up-what more can you ask? I recommend them, and I have relatively high service standards as I am in the service business as well. maybe the low ratings are from people with an "attitude" rather than one of respect and dignity for us who serve others.
