Had the misfortune of relying on a nurse to deliver some medical equipment for my newborn. They coordinated with my wife to deliver between 2:30 and 3pm, which was all she was waiting for to be discharged. Only after asking where they were, were we informed that they wouldn't be there until after 4. A "terrific" nurse named Allison called us to tell us that someone would be there "as soon as possible". When I asked what that meant in addition to the hour we'd already been delayed, she very rudely faulted an emergency situation for the delay. Then called the hospital to complain about the frustration I expressed, that they had caused. Finally, over two hours after we were originally told, a nurse did show up, and she was very professional. She tried to smooth the situation over, but in doing so, admitted that what had actually happen was that, of the available product we needed, none in the office had been serviced. She had the only one that was ready, and she didn't learn that she'd need to deliver it until 3:30. It turned out, that American Peds made a mistake. Which happens, we've all done it! Unfortunately, instead of owning up to their mistake, and apologizing for the great inconvenience for which they were responsible, they blamed a fake emergency, and complained about the customer. That, to me, demonstrates a great lack of interest in honesty, integrity, customer service, and accountability. Not exactly what I'd want in a company.
