We have had such a bad experience with Capital Caring service. My mom has gallbladder and liver cancer and is in her last phase of life. We chose Capital Caring service because a representative told us so many good things about the service. We were told that a nurse would come to visit my mom within two days of her discharging from the hospital and there was also a doctor to visit in a few days, but more than two days past and nobody even contacted us. Finally, I had to call the "hotline" which is supposed to be helpful 24/7. After 4 phone transfers and long waiting, someone told me that my mom was NOT even entered the system! Today is the 10th day since my mom left the hospital and entered Capital Caring's care, and there was no doctor showed up. A nurse showed up this afternoon and called a doctor who decided my mom needs morphine patch because she cannot swallow the morphine pills anymore. The doctor faxed her order to the drug store, but when we went to the drug store, we found out that we got the pills again! Then we had to call the "hotline" and tried to get the correct medication for my mom. To our dismay, the lady from the "hotline" spent a great deal time to order us just staying with what we currently have! She totally ignored our plead that my mom is in paining and she is moaning and a nurse confirmed it this afternoon and the doctor had agreed to give her patches because my mom cannot swallow pills anymore and the liquid morphine is not strong enough to ease her pain. Finally, the lady said she will see what she can do. The drug store closes in one hour and we haven't heard her back, so very likely she will do nothing. It is such a frustrating experience especially when I have to care for my mom 24 hours a day and see her suffer each day.
